somonstrous[Another day. Another long day. And all there is left is to internally moan his circumstances. Maybe a human has it easier.]
[Being what he is, in this facility surrounded by researchers, it is certainly not.]
[The being twists into the water, watching jellyfish-like tendrils unfurl like brilliant ribbons around him. That's what the scientist had said they were like - the accompanying mental picture had been quite amusing, really. A gelatinous bag, floating in the waves. A wondrous creature, in only in how it even survives, as simple as it is. Ephrai considers it again for a moment, before shaking his head. Perhaps even a jellyfish, of all creatures, has it easier-!]
[Because as it is now, these are not particularly good circumstances. Of course, he misses home. Of course, he misses the feeling of creatures similar to himself, instead of these bipedal warm creatures, tapping against his glass, showing him things about the world that even his kind didn't know about. He was so far from home. The deep depths of the sea call to him in his endless dreams. Its enough to drive him mad. But he manages, most days. Some of the scientists are fun to mess around with. Others are....interesting to converse with. The way their mind is so open, like endless fields in the sea...]
[Even Ephrai can admit it's enticing to explore their depths, even as simple as they are compared to his kind.]
[And here comes a familiar mind now - and one that Ephrai likes quite a lot. He pulls himself up to the edge of his tank, winking with two of his four brilliant diamond-like eyes, set in a dark green vaguely humanoid face. The ribbon-like tendrils that make up his lower body ebb and flow beneath him, and he reaches out, as always, through telepathy to give a casual greeting.]
Ah. Hello. My favorite scientist....how are you doing today, hm?
